A community that helps to build life and a better world
Founder Story
After surviving domestic violence myself, I began walking alongside other women and children facing similar situations. Over the past 10+ years, I have helped families navigate protection orders, custody battles, hospitalization, crisis situations, and the painful process of rebuilding life after abuse.
During my own healing journey, I found restoration while volunteering in an orchard — working in the soil, helping things grow, and rediscovering hope.
That experience became the beginning of the vision for Rachel Esther Ministries:
a place where women and children can heal, grow, and rebuild their futures in a supportive community.
Rachel Esther Ministries (R.E.M.) is a nonprofit organization serving women and children coming out of domestic violence.
Our mission is to create restorative healing communities where families can find safety, support, counseling, practical life skills, and opportunities to rebuild their futures.
We believe true restoration requires more than temporary survival. Through community support, healing-centered programs, mentorship, and long-term stability, we aim to help families move toward independence and thriving futures.
R.E.M. is currently developing the vision for Esther’s Orchard — a healing-centered community designed to provide housing, counseling, gardens, mentorship, and social enterprise opportunities for women and children rebuilding after abuse.
